This Privacy Policy explains how StockVyapar("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects personal information when you use StockVyapar.comand related services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you consent to the practices described here.

This policy is intended to satisfy India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the "DPDP Act") and applicable principles of the GDPR and CCPA where relevant.

2. Information we collect

• Account information — name, email, phone, password (stored only as a salted hash), and business details you provide on signup.
• Business data — products, stock, orders, invoices, and customer/supplier records you enter to run your shop.
• Customer & supplier data — information you add about other people; you are responsible for having a lawful basis to upload it and for informing those individuals.
• Usage data — IP address, device and browser metadata, and server logs, kept for security and abuse prevention.
• Payment information — processed by our payment partner; see below.

3. How we use information

• To provide and operate the Service (authentication, storing your data, computing balances, generating invoices and reports)
• To process subscriptions and provide support
• To detect, prevent, and respond to abuse, fraud, or security incidents
• To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell personal data, share it with advertisers, or use it for behavioural advertising.

4. Lawful basis (DPDP / GDPR)

• Performance of contract — to deliver the Service you signed up for
• Consent — for non-essential features such as opting in to product updates
• Legitimate interests — security, abuse prevention, and core business operations
• Legal obligation — where applicable law requires retention or disclosure

5. Payments

Subscription payments are processed by Razorpay. We do not store your full card or bank details on our servers; that information is handled by the payment processor under its own security and privacy terms.

6. Sharing and processors

We share data only with sub-processors that help us operate the Service, each under written contract — for application hosting, database storage, transactional email, and messaging when you trigger it. We may disclose information when legally compelled (court order or lawful regulatory request) or to protect our rights and the safety of our users.

7. Data security & retention

We protect data with TLS in transit, encryption at rest, hashed passwords, single-use time-limited reset tokens, and per-tenant access controls. No system is perfectly secure — please use a strong, unique password and tell us at [email protected] if you suspect a compromise. We retain data while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service and meet legal requirements; see deletion below.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may access, correct, export, or request deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent where processing relies on it. You may also lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India or your local data protection authority. 9. Children

The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

10. Changes

We may update this policy and will notify you of material changes through the Service or by email.
